Electric and Zero-Emission Truck Sales Statistics

Electric sales figures use different populations. Daimler Truck’s group number covers battery-electric trucks and buses, while Volvo’s figures identify brands and duty classes, so the measures should not be added together.

Daimler Truck sold 4,035 battery-electric vehicles worldwide in 2024, up from 3,443 in 2023. The company reported a 17% increase in battery-electric vehicle sales; the group figure covers trucks and buses and includes segment eliminations in related totals.

Toyota also stated that Tacoma was the number-one small pickup in the United States for the 20th consecutive year in 2024; the source does not provide the full small-pickup market denominator.
